Individual Task Criteria

Food Editor: You will use selected resources to research the typical foods of the region. You should include a menu from from a favorite restaurant from each city along with a critic of the food you tried. A recipe of a typical dish would be a nice touch. How does the food in each city differ? Why?

Cultural Editor: Using the selected resources you will research the different fiestas in the cities you visit. Each city has its local festivals. You will attend at least three festivals and write about your impressions of these events. Be sure to include some background information. In addition, remember pictures serve to enhance your column. How do these celebrations compare with our local traditions?

Sports Editor: You will attend a bullfight and the anual running of the bulls in Pamploma. You will share your impressions. be sure to use the selected resources to research and explain the ceremenoy behind each venue. You will explain the components of the bullfight and include the necessary information that will help your readers to understand the Spanish point of view. Why does bullfighting continue to be a popular spectator sport in Spain?

Architectural Editor: In your travels you will notice that each city you visit has its unique style of architecture. You will use the selected resources to explore each city. You will compare, for example the modern style of Barcelona with at least one other Spanish city that you visit. Some pictures would be an interesting feature. Discuss the different styles and include your preference. Are you partial to the modern architecture of Barcelona or the more traditional style of Madrid? If your group is traveling south, how did the Moors influence the architecture of the region?
